Antifungal discs are available in individual discs, in vials or cartridges, or in Multi tip rings.
Individual Discs
These cotton-based paper discs are 6.5mm in diameter and are easily identified by the internationally agreed 3-digit product code, and use of biologically inert dyes for colour coding.
Vials
Discs are supplied in glass vials of 100 discs. Silica-gel is used to maintain dryness.
Cartridges
Plastic cartridges containing 50 discs are supplied in re-sealable foil sachets. There are 5 cartridges per sachet. Silica-gel is used to maintain dryness. The cartridges are designed to be universal and as such can fit all commonly available dispensers or ejectors (with the exception of the BD dispenser. Development to adapt our cartridges is currently in progress). These enable the application of multiple discs to each agar plate.
Rings
Antifungal discs are available in the form of rings of multiple discs. H-ABDiscs are available with 8 tips, with each tip designed to perform as an individual disc but with an easier application. The shape of the ring and the use of a silicone barrier ensures the complete separation of the antifungal tip from the body of the ring. Like the individual discs, each tip is printed with the code of its antifungal and colour coded. H-ABDiscs are supplied in sealed tins of 100, with an added desiccant to ensure dryness
