Abtek semi synthetic sensitivity medium is prepared from buffered RPMI 1640 with the addition of 2% glucose and agar, at pH7.0.

This medium has been widely used in studies by the NCCLS working party on standardisation of fungal susceptibility testing.

It is supplied as a ready to melt medium in 100ml bottles for plate preparation. The zones achieved with standard organisms on this media are included in the pack inserts.

Ordering

Yeast Sensitivity medium is supplied as a pack of 10 bottles. It may be stored at room temperature away from bright light.
